Your beautifully dark album, "Mansfield Training School" honors the late great Diane Arbus. Her early work experimented with scenes that could come 'alive'. Like Arbus, you've evoked certain 'personal' qualities in the inanimate objects that populate your photographs. In this way, you make me feel emotionally invested & sympathetic towards these broken down, rickety, and marginalized objects. Your photography exposes the 'lives' of these abandoned & mistreated chairs, toilets, & sinks. Gone unnoticed and unloved, they've finally received a visitor, who adds witness to their existence.
